This surf-inspired lifestyle brand is known for its eco-friendly apparel, compelling family story, and good vibes. We worked with Faherty to build a website that would reflect its beachy brick and mortar experience.

SURF’S UP, SALES UP

When Faherty approached Verbal+Visual in search of an agency partner, the website was not optimized to drive conversion, nor boost brand loyalty. Poor load times, rigid functionality, and an uninspiring, often buggy, interface riddled the user experience. Our new design system had to be structurally sound, yet flexible enough to accommodate frequent content changes, seasonal drops, and new company initiatives. We developed a visual language, sitemap, and sustainable component library that would contribute to an 82% increase in Average Order Value.

The redesign began while Faherty was in the midst of a brand identity refresh. I produced visual directions that would determine site aesthetic, and partnered with Faherty’s in-house creative team to ensure responsive design and accessibility were maintained when translated to digital.

Prioritizing clear pathways, promoting upsell opportunities, and delivering a cohesive, branded experience, the website redesign contributed to a 3x increase in revenue and 92% increase in average Time on Site (TOS).
